Bridge in the Air (exercise #60) SiRA Fly Yoga or Aerial Yoga.

Bridge in the Air Fly Yoga exercise is part of the hammock exercises in Fly Yoga program.

  • Begin by lying on the back with the knees bent and the feet flat on the floor hips-width distance apart, belly under the hammock
  • Place the legs one by one over the hammock, resting the cloth behind the knees
  • Push the legs downward into the hammock to lift the hips upward
  • To come back down, slowly roll through the spine vertebrae by vertebrae from the top of the spine to the pelvis
  • Repeat a few times
  • While repeating remind the kids to lift their buttocks and then slowly come back down
  • To release: Remove legs from the hammock and draw knees to chest. Draw circles with the knees hugged in towards the chest.
  • Stretches the chest, neck, spine and hips
  • Strengthens the glute and back muscles
  • Improves circulation
