Stork with Open Wings – exercise #56

Stork with Open Wings (exercise #56) SiRA Fly Yoga or Aerial Yoga.

Stork with Open Wings Fly Yoga exercise is part of the hammock exercises in Fly Yoga program.

Highlights:
  • Stand behind the hammock
  • Grab the sides of the hammock with both hands at shoulder height
  • Lift the right leg, bend the knee, and place the right shin in the hammock
  • Lean the body forward and stretch the left thigh
  • While holding the forward lunge, release one arm at a time to the front side of the hammock
  • The hammock will rest against the backside of the triceps with the arms outstretched
  • Hold the forward lunge with arms reaching outward for 3-5 breaths
  • One at a time, release the arms to grab the sides of the hammock again
  • Engage the core to shift back and return to standing
  • Release the right foot to the ground
  • Repeat on the other side
